Summer’s Medical Journal

Summer’s Medical Journal is an organizational system created by Jaime Scholz that aids individuals in the upkeep, organization and access of their personal medical records.  Summer’s Medical Journal focuses on helping organize medical records so that they are easily available during doctors appointments, emergency situations, medical procedures, etc. SMJ offers customizable binders, supporting documents and consulting services to help organize all of your medical records in one place.  With the dynamic structure of Summer’s Medical Journal’s binders, its system provides easy portability and accesibility to all information needed, no matter when or where.

Summer’s Medical Journal proves that caring about your health has no age, and being prepared can only help you in life’s moments.

Our Mission

Summer’s Medical Journal gives you the ability to organize and carry all of your medical records to and from doctor’s appointments. With SMJ binders, you have access to all records, invoices, information, etc. as needed; answering questions about past surgeries, medications or otherwise has never been easier.

MEET THE CREATOR

Jaime Scholz

Hi! I’m Jaime Scholz, founder and Creator of Summer’s Medical Journal. I started my journey in the medical field when I was in high school, interning at one of the largest hospitals in South Florida. From then on, I have spent my entire career in medicine. 

After working in different fields within medicine, like Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, Physical Therapy, and Workers Comp Administration, one of the biggest problems we ran into was patients’ lack of memory for their personal medical records. When asking patients simple questions about their medical history, we’d receive vague or inaccurate responses, as many people couldn’t recall allergies, names of previous medicines, etc. I’ve witnessed the serious problems that can result from a doctor not having everything they need. 

I knew when we had the same lack of information while trying to help my partner’s mother when she had an emergency, I started to brainstorm what I could do to help people resolve this common issue.  

OUR WHY—

The answers to the questions doctors ask when diagnosing or running through tests or check ups are important; the answers we give inevitably help the doctor decide the proper next steps. 

When we had an emergency with my partners mother, she was suddenly hospitalized and we were desperately sorting through piles of records trying to find answers to questions the doctors were asking. I knew there was a better way to organize one’s medical records and have all the information needed for life’s moments.  That was the inspiration for Summer’s Medical Journal 

Summer’s Medical Journal provides people with the tools and a framework to organize their medical records so no one will get stuck in the same situation that we were in.
